The
Folliott's in CanadaThis site is dedicated to the Folliott family genealogy. The name Folliott is not a common name and I suspect the majority of Folliott's in Canada are related. The first Folliott's that I can find documented were living in Ontario in the early to mid 1800's. My great great grandfather was Thomas Folliott originally settled in King Township, York County, Ontario. Living next to him was a Gilbert Folliott, who I have assumed was a brother. There was also an Elizabeth living with Gilbert in 1852, who may have been a sister.
To access other families related through marriage, please visit my main web site at www.mcclellandfamily.ca. This site contains much of the the same Folliott information as that found on my main website. However, the long term plan is to add other Folliott clans if descendants want to add their information. It will also go into more detail than my main web site.
The page is set up with a Family Backgrounds section that gives a history of the Folliott and Boynton families. This is followed by Family History links to the respective families. All family information, including notes, are found in these links.
Please note that I have not published many of the details for each family, either for privacy reasons or for simplicity in maintaining the web site.
Some of the Family Trees are very large and if you would like a copy of the information, I can provide it electronically either in MS Word format or PDF format
This section has been set up for immediate family members. It is password protected as it contains personal details of people still living. The file for this page is published in GEDCOM format. Immediate family members can contact me directly for instructions on how to access this section
On March 4, 2011, I added the family tree for my gg grandmother, Mary Stewart. Much of the information has not been confirmed at this time. If you see errors, please contact me.
Disclaimer: In many cases, birth, death, marriage, etc. dates are not confirmed by official documents. Many dates have been passed down through families over the years or have been provided by the individuals to me personally. In some cases, birth dates have been derived from Census reports, which are not very accurate.
